What am i doing ?

Exams over today. The course was MSC Psychotherapy & Counseling (1st Year). Average performance or maybe a bit below par. Couldn't get time to study before the exams. For the past 3 months it has been a hectic schedule at work with no time or energy left to do anything. Hope to cover some lost ground in the home assignment part.

Saw "avatar" movie! But not in 3D. It was 2D hindi dubbed version.Loved the movie a lot. Hope to see it in 3D sometime soon. Just bought a book "RIGHTS OF MAN" by Thomas Paine. Thomas Paine was a mesmerizing thinker who charted the course of the French Revolution around the 1790's. That i am reading this book 218 years after it was written speaks volumes of the greatness of this reformer.

Another book which is on the cards to be read is Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search For Meaning" . But before reading these books, i need to complete the home assignments !

Exam Period

Psychotherapy and Counseling 1st Year exams from 21st to 26th december 2009. I remember my school days when i used to do last minute studying. The same kind of unpreparedness is being faced in these exams. Everyday is a fight for survival at the exams. Keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me the best of luck !

If I’m thirsty, I don’t want you to bring me a glass of water. I want you to sympathize with having a dry mouth and connect with me through sharing and understanding !!

Making of the Eiffel Tower

Doing what u shouldn't and what you should

For the last few days i have been speaking to a lot of batchmates. Many of them are going through the same mental and emotional turmoil as i am going through. Having tasted the blood of corporate life, and finding it bitter, we don't seem to relish this anymore. This feeling only comes and expresses itself strongly when we feel we have options available. I have always believed in learning life skills in MBA. So surviving is not a problem for most of us. The only point is to choose the right time.

The first few months have shown me the way my future life would be in a corporate setup. Having already lived one third of my life, i don't find it amusing to visualize another 1/3rd life till retirement going down the drain. In the name of a career, we have to live like a servant and be happy about it.

I am amazed at so many batchmates feeling the same way. This is a good thing because we are those minuscule percentage of people who don't want to take things lying down. May GOD give us the courage to convince our families and do what we want to do. In true tradition of families, they are concerned with the risks involved for their well-being rather than being concerned for us. Hopefully we are able to show them reason some day.
